The huge impact covid-19 has had on our industry is phenomenal, some businesses have only been slightly affected, some have had to close their doors.

We are thankful that up to now, the impact on RJ Electrical & Security Ltd has been relatively minor. We were the main electrical contractors on the installation of the covid contamination pods at DRI and Bassetlaw hospitals, as well as continuing our crucial work throughout the women’s and children’s hospital. Our health and safety policy and procedures have had to have an urgent overhaul; including maximising our employees hygiene, purchasing new PPE, and maintaining social distances throughout our sites. We have had to adapt to a new way of working, a new way of thinking almost. We are fortunate that the majority of our forecasted works were in NHS associate sites so it could go ahead without too much disruption, however we are very aware that many businesses have not been as lucky. Without the commitment of our wonderful team, patience of our business associates, and understanding from our brilliant customers we wouldn’t be here still going strong through the second lockdown of the year.
