The first quarter of 2019 has proved incredibly busy at RJ Electrical Ltd, so much so that I haven’t had chance to write a blog in a few weeks.

Not that any of us are complaining – an influx of steady work has given us the fantastic opportunity to extend our workforce and we are currently interviewing candidates to join our ever growing team.

As usual at this time of year, we begin to get applications for young school leavers who are hoping to start an apprenticeship. We work alongside JTL (https://www.jtltraining.com/) who are the largest work based training providers in England and Wales. We have worked alongside them for almost 20 years, watching young people arrive as nervous school leavers and transform into fully qualified electricians.

We pride ourselves in giving our apprentices as much ‘hands on’ experience as possible, whether it’s shadowing on our busy sites or sorting all the equipment out for jobs back at our unit. Everyday is a learning day!

Let’s hope that 2019 carries on the way it’s started here at RJ Electrical with many more apprentices to come though the doors!
